AJF Consulting Pty Ltd was established back in 2004 by Andy Farrell.
Originally based in Sydney, the main service provided was hydraulic (plumbing) estimating and consultation. Since then, the business has relocated to Werri Beach “Gerringong” on the NSW south coast and expanded its services to include:
Andy’s background was in the plumbing industry and he began his apprenticeship in 1996 after completing his high school certificate, with a plan to one day run his own plumbing company.
This all changed on the 7th May 2000 when he sustained a major spinal cord injury whilst competing in the bridge to bridge water-ski race on the Hawkesbury River in Sydney. The fall resulted in Andy dislocating his spine from the base of the scull down to the C5 vertebra. Thus, being classified as a C4 tetraplegia or more commonly known as a quadriplegic.
Such an injury usually results in a loss of life, but through a lot of luck, determination and support Andy’s been able to recover enough to live a fulfilled life.
Andy has worked with some of the largest plumbing companies within Australia and is personally responsible for in excess of $45 million dollars of successful tenders.
